Local resident has been sentenced to six years in prison and three years of probation for crashing his motorcycle while drunk and killing a passenger
MINOT – According to the court documents, his name is Harry Hughes and he has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Officials say his blood alcohol content was 0.13% when he crashed his motorcycle into a lighted railroad crossing arm that was in the downward position.
Daylene Gladue died in the accident.
Hughes earlier pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide.
He has a previous DUI conviction on his record.
Hughes will not be eligible for parole for at least three years under state law.
