The City of Minot’s proposed 2023 budget includes funds to construct a terminal facility in a portion of the Renaissance parking structure in downtown Minot
Minot, NORTH DAKOTA – According to the city officials, this project is anticipated to cost approximately $500,000, although the exact figure isn’t known until the facility is designed.
Roughly 80 percent of the cost would be provided through a federal grant that is accessed through the state of North Dakota.
The City would cover the remaining cost.
Transit Superintendent Brian Horinka said the facility would be built into the northwest corner of the parking structure.
The transfer facility would not be regularly staffed, but would include a lounge, a small office, a break room for the drivers, a ticketing machine, and restrooms.
The buses would park on the west side of the parking structure, along First Street SW, to load and unload passengers.
The existing parking spots would be vacated for public parking, and only buses would be allowed to use them.
