A North Dakota rent relief program is expanding eligibility thanks to federal funding

Minot, N.D. – According to the statement, the state’s ND Rent Help can now assist people at a higher income level and for longer periods of time due to the funding.

The officials have reported that the eligibility was expanded from 60% of area median income to 80%.

The ND Rent Help has helped more than two thousand renters across the state and more than 500 housing providers try to avoid eviction and stay housed during the pandemic.

The program has also increased how long assistance will be available from six months to 12 months.
