North Dakota passes 1,500 total COVID-19 deaths
BISMARCK, N.D. — Following are the North Dakota Department of Health COVID-19 case rates, deaths, hospitalizations and vaccinations as of Tuesday, May 11. Because all data is preliminary, some numbers and totals may change from one day to the next.
Statewide case rates
- NEW CASES: 128
- TOTAL ACTIVE CASES: 778
- TOTAL CASES: 108,652
- TOTAL RECOVERED: 106,372
- DAILY TEST POSITIVITY RATE: 4.83%
The North Dakota Department of Health Tuesday reported 128 additional positive COVID-19 cases; 22 came from Burleigh County and 21 from Cass County. The number of active cases has slightly declined since the beginning of May with the rolling 14-day positivity rate at 4.12%
Hospitalizations, deaths
- ACTIVE HOSPITALIZATIONS: 36
- DEATHS, NEWLY REPORTED: 3
- TOTAL DEATHS: 1,502
A total of 1,502 North Dakotans have died either due to or from complications of COVID-19 since March 2020.
Vaccinations
- FIRST DOSE ADMINISTERED: 282,603 (47.3% of population)
- COMPLETED SERIES (TWO DOSES): 256,478 (43% of population)
